Troupe Class

What is Troupe?

A dance troupe is a group of dancers who work together as a team to perform dances. Members work together for a common goal, creating an ensemble that showcases their collective talents.

Here is what’s required in your troupe class.

Shirt.

Fitted t-shirt and/or any color leotard.

Pants.

Fitted jazz pants, leggings, shorts or tights. Tights with a leotard or shorts.

No dresses, jeans, pajamas or nylon jogging/warm-up pants.

Shoes.

Ballet or tap shoes.

Warm ups.

Sweaters and leg warmers are ok for warming up at the beginning of class.

Hair.

Hair pulled back in a ponytail with all hair pinned out of face.

No jewelry except very small earrings.

It helps to be a dancer when you look like a dancer. We ask parents to help your dancers understand and follow this policy. By signing the policy/release form, you are agreeing to adhere to your classes dress code.

Come prepared. We will enforce the dress code. Pack your dance bag the night before and always come prepared. Big chunky shoes, boots and other street shoes and/or jeans are not dance attire and are not acceptable.

If you do not wear the proper dance clothes, we reserve the right to ask you to leave class. We need to be able to see your body in motion and you need to be able to move freely and safely.
